I recently finished a social selling workshop. One of the participants asked me how to reach out to more prospects. Conversion rate is really low. Essentially, people aren’t responding to his outreach messages.
So I said, “Okay, are you starting by adding value to the conversation first? Are you sending some kind of resource, something that’s helpful to them, or are you hard selling and pitching your products or services?”
And you know, he answered the latter saying that he’s pushing more products or services and as a result, the conversion rate was really low.
So, which one are you doing? Are you adding value to conversation first by sharing some insightful research or resources or are you hard selling?
